photo & details guide

This page explains what photos and details I need to start working on your portrait.

To start working on your portrait, I’ll need you to send me your photos and a few details.

The easiest way is to reply directly to the email you received after placing your order, as it already includes your order number and helps me keep everything together.

Below you’ll find a simple guide with everything I need before I begin.

1. Face photos

Please send clear, front-facing photos of each person included in the portrait.
Good headshots help me capture facial features and likeness as accurately as possible.

2. Full body photos

I’ll also need photos where each person is standing, so I can understand proportions and height.

3. Outfits

All portraits include any type of outfit you choose — everyday clothing, wedding attire, traditional outfits, sportswear, costumes, or something meaningful to you.

You can send:
• photos of the outfits, or
• a short description of what each person should wear

Please don’t forget the shoes.

If your portrait includes wedding attire, make sure dress and suit details are clearly visible.
Close-up photos of accessories or bouquets are very welcome.

4. Hairstyles

Hairstyle is an important part of each person’s character.
Please include photos or a brief description of the hairstyle you’d like for each person.

5. Pets

All portraits can include pets.

Please send a couple of clear photos of each pet, showing their face and fur.
If possible, include one photo that helps show their size.

6. Special details

Glasses, jewelry, tattoos, watches, hats — small details help make the portrait feel more personal.
Feel free to include photos or notes of anything you’d like me to add.

7. Text or wording

If you’d like to include names, a date, or a short phrase, please write it exactly as you’d like it to appear.

Save the dates & wedding stationery

If you ordered save the dates, please include:
• Your names
• Wedding date
• Location

If you ordered wedding invitations, you can also include:
• RSVP date and instructions
• Website link (if you’d like it included)

8. Backgrounds and other elements

If your portrait includes:
• a detailed or illustrated background
• a house, vehicle, or specific place
• floral elements or decorative details

please include photo references or a short description.

If you chose floral decoration, feel free to share the type of flowers you like.
For wedding stationery, florals can match your bouquet or color palette if you wish.

9. How to send your photos

You can attach the photos directly in your email reply.
If the files are too large, you can also send a link via WeTransfer, Dropbox, or Google Drive.

Please try to send the best quality images you have.

Timing

Once I receive all the photos and details, I’ll review everything and schedule your portrait.
I’ll then get back to you with an approximate completion date.

My current delivery window is 3–4 weeks from the moment all information is received.

If you ordered a rush option, this timing does not apply.
If you didn’t but would like to check availability, you can see the rush options here.

If you have any questions at any point, feel free to ask. I’m always happy to help.
